fightpedia/Interests/Gut punching

In gutpunching, punches (or, additionally, kicks and / or knee strikes) are applied to the abdominal region with the intention of testing the strength of the abdominal muscles (abs.)

In a give-and-take gutpunching match, opponents exchange blows (or kicks and / or knee strikes) in turn until one of them gives up.

In a one-sided session, a 'giver' (or 'puncher') works over a 'taker' ('punchee', or 'receiver') until the latter gives up.

Under its strictest definition, gutpunching only allows for strikes to the abdominal muscles. However, many gutpunchers agree to include strikes to the solar plexus and / or the chest.

Gutpunching is sometimes, but not necessarily, combined with nipple play and / or CBT
