I would have a go but can you imagine the state of one's face after the match?! Most dudes on here have another life to attend.
It's more exciting to watch than traditional boxing as the gloves don't get in the way and the impact more devastating. From what I've seen on social media channels etc., I prefer the close-up style they hold in rural England with bales of hay forming the ring and the crowd nearly on top of the action. Intense.
all you say makes sense! most guys here have another life and I can attest to the state of one's face after a hard bare knuckle fight!! i had plenty when younger and as a leather biker got in all kinds of brutal bloody bare knuckle fights in all weathers and conditions - abandoned buildings garages basements farms but mostly scrapyards which were private so 2 men could bare knuckle fight as long and as hard as they could to a finish, even to the death! did fight in rural places as you describe intense indeed bloodbath fist fights had a few old fashioned bare knuckle fights no rounds limit no time limit 2 hard men bare knuckle fighting to ko each round ended only when 1 man knocked down by a bare knuckle punch no count outs if you were stil breathing you were hauled up to fight on - been in bare knuckle fights lasting over 75 rounds longest 106 rounds!! ok first few rounds could last well over 5 or more minutes longest i was in 11 minutes then as the fight goes on rounds lasted only several seconds so 106 rounds sounds a lot but total fight time was about 2 hours or so
Anyone interested in this kind of fighting that seems to be making a comeback lately? Or am I the only "nostalgic" of the genre? Have you ever thought about trying or has it never even passed through the hall of the brain? What does it eventually attract you to and what does it not?
