I mentioned one of the fights In the Roger Corman movie "Atlas", which is posted in its entirety on Youtube. The fight I'm talking about starts at 32:00. It doesn't last long.
Does anyone remember McCloud, the American copper on a horse? There was a female fight scene in that where his gf who lived with him felt this woman was moving in on her man. It was an awesome fight. Hard all the way through that one. Anyone know which episode?
Yes, "Warrior" is a good movie about fighting. Personally, I found it too drenched in sentiment but that same element is what people liked about it most. I was most curious about the chemistry being Brit Tom Hardy and Aussie Joel Edgerton, two actors I always equated before the movie came out. I wasn't the only one that equated them. During their interviews for the movies, the two of them, especially ultra-hetero Hardy, Joked about them being lovers and having sex with each other. The homoeroticism of the pairing was evident even to those guys and they had fun with it. Watch the movie then the interviews for a complete experience. If those two together were not in "Warrior", I'm not sure I'd have seen it. Both are versatile, thoughtful actors but Hardy is more heavy and dark. It was a pairing I wanted to see and it was about fighting. Yes, "Warrior" is a good movie for this category. Not itself homoerotic, though. The weird thing about Edgerton is the first time I saw him was in the Star Wars movie where he appeared as Uncle Owen before he was "Uncle." He looks exactly like a younger version of the original actor and said very little. He was cast for his physical similarity to the first Owen but now, like Hardy, he makes every movie he's in better. Also see Hardy play closeted-gay identical twin 60's British gangsters the Kray brothers in "Legend". Their personalities are different – the more gay one is the more violent – and Hardy is phenomenal.
I find Hollywood mainly ridicules wrestling eg "paradise alley"
Not seen, "the wrestler" don't know why. Maybe Mickey Rourke ugh...
Still, despite wrestling being more my default, I loved the hallway punch up in "Grosse Point Blank".
And if I'm going to pick a fight movie why not the best, "Raging bull".
Tarzan and the Valley of Gold. The ending fight of Tarzan Mike Henry vs the giant in the room with all of the gold and fighting back and forth. Dean [email protected] Fort Lauderdale Florida.
Also, there was a movie. Western movie with two men who hate each other but have to cooperate in order to save a woman. The movie ends with a brawl between them and during the fight the ended in the mud pitt.
Does anyone know the name of the movie?
You will all laugh but, the scene in Freebie and the Bean where the crossdresser kicked the crap out of James Caan was pretty good. I would have like to see the outcome if Caan did not shoot the CD. Caan was getting his ass kicked.
I won't laugh as I recall that fight scene an how much it turned me on; also I think they had a leather kind of skirt on?? in fact it probably started me off wanting to fight a crossdresser which I eventaully did and then had several fights with CD/TV's real hard fights like in the film only for real - hard CD/TV's can fight like hell
Not the longest wrestling scene but an absolute wrestling fantasy put in the context of ancient Rome from the 1972 film "Fellini Satyricon". To give context the three major characters, three beautiful young men, are captured by Lichas who brings by sea treasures, stolen or licit, human or non-, to the decadent caesar living on a remote island. Lichas also loves brutal wrestling and has a whole ship's cargo filled with captured young men, slaves from whom to choose opponents. He falls in love with the most beautiful of the three in a match and the rest is left to your imagination. The movie is a classic Fellini masterpiece very loosely based on fragments of a novel written by Petronius Arbiter, from the court of the emperor Nero, mid-first century CE. Hopefully this link will take you to the right spot on YouTube.

I'm putting this out there to see if it rings a bell with anyone. When I was like 5 or 6, I remember seeing part of an old movie on tv, not sure if it was a western, but it was in color and it showed a scene of an Indian tribe where 2 men were about to go into combat with each other in a center ring with other tribesmen and women watching in anticipation. They were both wearing matching tribe type wear, what I remember was something that looked like short pants covered in feathers, barefoot, and I think they may have been shirtless and wearing some head gear or something. Anyhow it made an impression on me because of the way they looked and how they rassled and rolled around together. I think they also each had knives in one hand as part of the competition, it was fight to the death I guess, because at the end it was implied, not shown, that one killed the other, and a woman steps out and says 'oh no oh no' a couple of times in a closeup. That's all I remember. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I would love to find that movie again. I've never come across it.
Nope, it's not that one. The fight was just among 2 indians who were dressed in same tribal wear. it was almost ceremonial in it's portrayal. But thank you for posting this!
Someone needs to put "Women in Love" in the title of this thread. QUICK. Including this sentence, "Women in Love" appears 21 times. Just change the title to "Women in Love" (22).
Women in Love is the closest anyone got to a highly homoerotic scene for the time, it's quite sexy, but only Ken Russell could shoot a sex scene in all but name.
The only problem is that while Alan Bates is quite fit and attractive, Oliver Reed was cast for his name (the original choice was Edward Fox who looked more like the character's description).
Also Alan Bates looks a lot like D. H. Lawrence and I've only found out was Bisexual which somewhat helps the scene. I will always feel hot afterwards watching it.
I agree! The scene from Women in Love is artistic and sensual. The problem I have with most fight scenes in shows and movies is they emphasize and exaggerate the violence for ratings.
One of my favorites nude fighting scenes!!!
Just try to understand it was filmed more than 5 decades ago when the world was in my opinion, I might be wrong, less open to nudity and specifically 2 men together.
Now, 2022, we don't see such scenes and if men are naked, the editor covers the genitals digitally with a lot of blurry effects. The Northman, for example. Sad.
I do and brutal fight scenes do turn me on as they remind me of real life fights I was in when a leather man and biker many pretty brutal, not martial arts style but just plain old bare knuckle/fist fights
I can appreciate brutal fight scenes because I understand how difficult they are to do authentically in movies but they are not at all a turn on to me. I'm more of a wrestling guy with guys grappling because they are equal or to settle a disagreement. Actually, I have to say it's an ultimate scenario to really fight all-out but it's impractical (among other things). I'm good at throwing fast close controlled punches but almost no one else is so it's dangerous for me and impractical. Unskilled guys are the scariest and I've had several related injuries. Some guys just don't have good body awareness, which comes with being athletic. While actual fighting/wrestling is all about personal one-on-one for me, this is a good clip with good parity between some of the matchups. I did a quick search and only found this scene in German. I am not making a political statement. I know NUH-THING!
I love when a fight is rough and nasty extreme between two men in a movie
When two men decide they must fight to the finish or till one destroys the other
I know I have so many amazing scenes on tape including
Say both fights in the movie “The Duel”
Or woman in love or tarzans greatest adventure or 1975 movie Mandingo etc
Bad-ass fight scene for sure right there! Def takes me back to a few rough housing matches that turned into heated, nasty battles at times over the years.. intense as hell, can totally relate.
Fight scenes, especially nude fight scenes portrayed in an earlier period of movie making, were not all that common, at least which were filmed and included into movies produced by major studios like MGM, Warner Bros., etc. The numerous movies since then are an indication of societies acceptance of such productions. Nowadays it is somewhat interesting to see actors disputing the appropriateness of straight actors playing gay roles. The opposite of course of gay actors playing straight roles was common, though not that those actors sexual preference was generally known or even suspected.
I wish to contradict what was a seeming affirmation of the actor Alan Bates found by the third sharing on this blog regarding nude scenes. I herein quote from Wikepedia:
"Bates had numerous gay relationships, including those with actor Nickolas Grace and Olympic skater John Curry as detailed in Donald Spoto's authorised biography Otherwise Engaged: The Life of Alan Bates....Throughout his life Bates sought to be regarded as a ladies' man or at least as a man who, as an actor, could appear attractive to and attracted by women. He also chose many roles with an aspect of homosexuality or bisexuality,[10] including the role of Rupert in the 1969 film Women in Love..."
Obviously, the member who shared his observation was fooled by an excellent actor. The role of an actor often entails lies. But, they shouldn't be blamed. Necessity too long has precluded honesty. To a certain extent, it still does unfortunately.
Other than this, the comments by this member were presented in a remarkably cogent manner, and he should be thanked for his contribution.
I'm not sure what the straight-vs-gay part is relevant to but I'm guessing it references Bates and his wrestling match with Alan Reed in "Women in Love." I said the male characters, not the actors, were straight, although when you read that section of the book, I think the point is that they were not completely straight. Here's a link to that part of the book, which is fascinating if you've never read it before. I think I came across it in the 80's. Better in print than on film. There's a similar fight scene in the book "North Dallas Forty" where two football players who room with each other wrestle intensely – smashing furniture – and then kiss. http://www.online-literature.com/dh_lawrence/women_in_love/20/
Interesting info about North Dallas Forty. Is the scene also included in the movie version? Can't find anything about it. Do you have a clip to share or maybe the text from the novel? Thanks.
From what I remember, the scene was left out of the movie. I can't find anything googling "North Dallas Forty wrestling scene" like I found the one for "Women in Love." It's possible the fight was in Jim Bouton's "Ball Four" but I'm pretty sure it was NDF. I don't like that part of the book enough to read the entire book to find it.
Thanks for sharing but what a disappointment! The fight lasted 5 seconds and the kiss is a joke. Guess the novel is much better, if only we could read that part of the book online or someone shared scans of the pages.
I had to buy the Kindle book for closure and here it is. I had to type the excerpt because I could not copy and paste. It was not a private fight but one that broke out at a sports award show. I think in my mind I combined the fight from "Women in Love" with this one, both of which read better than they are fleshed out in the movies. The "Women in Love" wrestling match in the movie sucked because Alan Bates was so non-athletic and did a lot of flailing. I like how evenly matched this "fight" is.
North Dallas Forty Page 33 of 402
The host, last year’s Rookie of the Year, Andy Crawford, was leaning against the wrought-iron lattice that separated the living room from the dining room. He was talking to a rookie defensive back from Texas named Alan Claridge. Both were powerful, good-looking men, weighing around two twenty and standing well over six foot three. They were well tanned and muscular and often mistaken for brothers. Crawford was pointing to the front of Claridge’s shirt. When Claridge looked down, Crawford brought his hand up into Claridge’s nose. Crawford doubled up with laughter while his victim jumped back.
When Crawford straightened up, Claridge pounced and grabbed him by his biceps. Soon they were reeling around in a friendly pushing match, each gripping the other’s arms. Laughter and groans punctuated the contest as both men strained mightily against each other. From the color of their faces and the cords standing out on their necks, I could see they were exerting fiercely. Crawford suddenly lost his footing and Claridge stumbled forward on top of him, both of them crashing through the dining room table and chairs. Crawford had ripped off Claridge’s shirt, and they lay gasping. I leaned across the bar and looked at them lying directly below. They were sweating profusely, looking at each other and laughing. Claridge whispered something to Crawford, then carefully held Crawford’s face with both hands and planted an open-mouthed kiss full on the lips. Crawford responded and their tongues strained against each other. The embrace lasted about ten seconds.
Thanks for going the extra to find this passage and share. It would have been great if they had included this in the movie, but it's great reading it. Similiar to MochaBlk I have not seen the movie, and never read the book.
Actually, the clip that was provided showed that they basically accelerated through the movie scene and the kiss was quick and not ten seconds. A guy I knew in the 80's collected books with scenes like that. Gay former NFL player wrote a book where he talked about all the nude wrestling Kopay did with his straight best friend, including being discovered laying nude together the next morning by the guy's family. He mentions how much of an anti-gay jerk Alex Karras was. Karras became cuddly and famous as an actor in roles like a thoughtful and kind-hearted closeted gangster strongman in "Victor Victoria" and for the line "Ah, Mongo not gay!" in "Blazing Saddles", when his character is accused of liking the new sheriff too much.
That is a good question, which made me google "was Alex Karras a nice guy" and this is what I found, remembering what I said about Dave Kopay's book:
Jan 16, 2020 — Alex Karras, elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was a close friend to Dave Kopay, a Lions teammate who came out as gay after retiring ...
I did not read the article yet and other articles that he was nice show up. Now I want to find the excerpts in Kopay's book that mention Karras. I read it 40 years ago and not since.
Despite what I read in the book, I'm pretty sure Karras made his career in Hollywood like Arnold, in being a nice guy that hit his mark and said his lines. And easy masculine charm. Look at how much work the guy got and the level of his projects. Even if you didn't watch it, "Webster" was a hit series and ran six seasons, which is an actor's dream. Regular hours and you stay in town. Just the two movies I reference are classic-to-legendary. O.J. never got those kind of movies, which his wife used to brutally mock him for, which contributed to what he did to her. That he never became a movie star or was even cast in movies that required real acting ate at O.J. and she knew it and it gave her leverage to manifest her resentment for him being famous but not bigger. Typical marriage.
I am dyslexic and can omit, duplicate or transpose letters, numbers and words. In this case I said "Gay former NFL player" but didn't finish by saying his name is Dave Kopay and his book is "The Dave Kopay Story." I was also lazy by not including the title earlier.
I remember Alex Karras from the wrestling movie "Mad Bull". I still get turned on watching the final match that moves from standard roleplay pro wrassling to a real grudge fight between the two men. The frontal bearhug to KO on top of the cage still resonates with me today! Here is a link to the climax cage match.
That's it? I thought it was much longer and detailed, instead it's more or less like the scene in the movie (excluding the tongues detail). Thanks for sharing anyway...
Alan Bates and Oliver Reed weren't supposed to be athletic at all, Birkin and Gerald aren't sportsmen but average males with average bodies. Thanks to that the wrestling, both in the novel and the film, is quite realistic unlike most wrestling porn.
Don't apologize for adding value to the string. Your video was THE perfect follow-up to clarify my vague reference. I learned from it. That was great. It was like the scene in "Annie Hall" where Marshall McLuhan breaks the 4th wall and appears as himself to criticize a character. I wish all my questions could be answered as quickly and perfectly as your response.
I never said the scene was long or pornographic. I mentioned a fight in a book and movie and backed it up with the excerpt. How you interpret it is on you. "Wrestling porn" does not register with me. Does actual skilled athletic masculine wrestling register with you? Along with wrestling my athletic brother and athletic best friends growing up, I actually wrestled in school, was one of my high school's biggest sports stars and was world-class in another sport while still in my teens. I'd put my take on masculinity, athleticism and wrestling against every person on this chat site together.
Instead of picking apart someone else’s thoughtful contributions – typical of weak-willed people – try bringing something forward-thinking and constructive to the conversation, which is not about suiting your personal needs. There is a direct correlation between a person’s physical and mental health and strength. I am in better health and stronger and more fit now than when I was an intercollegiate athlete 45 years ago.
I had no idea they crammed a reference to the wrestling scene into that party scene, mostly because I never saw the movie. In the book, the guys are all alone in the apartment and the wrestling goes on for a while and the kiss is deep and intense. Thanks for posting this clip.
Some of you wont remember the wrestling naked scene with Oliver reed , can not remember the film but i know that was the turning point that i started to get sexually aroused i would wrestle a guy like that any time of the day , if you can fid it the scene turns you on big time
The movie is "Women in Love" and the Oliver Reed nude wrestling scene is with Alan Bates. I think the story on that scene is that the guys only wanted to do one take and that's what it looks like. Not the most athletic wrestling but it's still two straight relatively-fit guys intensely going at it nude in private. It looks like they could have easily been injured.
Check out the Indian movie "Uttara (the Wrestlers)", about two guys who work alone at a remote train track-switching station and spend their days wrestling. How is THAT not the dream? F money when you have that. (I lied. I still like money.)
Another good – because the guys are handsome strapping gods – fight is in the Roger Corman otherwise-terrible movie "Atlas", where two guys are on the ground bulge-to-bulge and how that made it on film I don't know. The scene is completely focused on them and they mirror each other every moment of the fight until the very last moment. Plus, there are several scenes when rival groups – one is red and one is blue, otherwise the togas are the same how classic gay soft-porn is this movie? – fight. Along with the fight scene – more like two models in one fight pose after another – the movie is comical for how cheap it is. The same actors switch costumes and play opposite sides of rival groups. I mean "cheap."
I'm way into parity so into guys my age but the best fistfight I remember seeing on TV was on Rifleman between the title character's son and another kid. The spontaneity and the way their fists went right for each other's faces as they were falling to the ground sure looked like a real fight. I wonder how much longer it went after the fadeout and before the director said "cut." Probably an hour for the entertainment of the crew. Or maybe the director added it to his "private collection."
These come to me as I'm typing but another quick-but-good kid fight was in the Walt Disney 1950's serial "Spin & Marty." The two main characters – otherwise closest friends which is Freudian – are in the play Robin Hood (in a production in a small tent) and both show up in identical costumes on cue to play the lead character and start fighting, taking the tent down around them as they continue fighting until fadeout. That storyline leads up to a total battle over identity and alpha, and nothing is more personal.
I don't remember NOT wrestling. Other than me and whoever that other kid I was rolling around with when I was three or four, the first time I came across a fight scene where it clicked for me that other guys fighting was hot was the fight in the book Mark Twain, which I guess I read at eight. Twain was smart to put it near the beginning of the book because it inspired me to read on. I must have read that scene ten times before I moved on to the rest of the book. There's a similar fight in the movie "The Magnificent Ambersons" but the rich kid looks like a girl so it's weird to watch.
I was walking home in the evening when I was five or six and passing a small playground across the street from my house when a blonde kid my age, playing on the ground said, "Hey kid, wanna fight?" Even at that age, I thought "This guy's asking ME?" He didn't have to ask me twice and we started rolling like angry puppies but I was already late getting home and I had the kind of parents where you didn't want to be late coming home. He and I were both bummed to stop but I explained. Even at the time, I was fascinated in how well we wrestled together. I never saw that kid after that but I got a lot of great wrestling, although I'm not sure many were as all-out as that puppy brawl. At the time, I assumed it would be like that the rest of my life and guys my size that like wrestling would want to wrestle. As one of the best athletes in my high school and a college athlete and someone who's stayed relatively fit, that's pretty much what's happened. When you're a sports star in school, other guys look at you starry-eyed, especially the other good athletes. It's not hard getting guys to wrestle and it was about fending off unexpected advances and whoa I just went into a bad place I completely forgot about.
LMAO. Gotta love the Corman factory–ATLAS! Feared by every man...Desired by every woman. Michael Forrest (Atlas) the toga-wearing Apollo in a 1967 STAR TREK episode, Who Mourns for Adonais?
I figured if I threw enough relevant references out there, something would catch. That movie is like the old Athletic Model Guild / Physique pictorial soft-core porn they did before porn was legal. Togas and sandals are LCD stereotype gay things.
I met Corman around 2000 because he was a buddy of my boss and talked to him a few times after for work. Super cool guy, especially someone with his unique and impactful career. Low-key and unassuming. Very much a listener and observer.
Now let me get a broom to sweep up that name I dropped. Again.
Thanks for the various infos but could you post some more details about which episodes of The Rifleman and Spin & Marty should we search for? There are so many!
Could not find "Uttara" but found the others. Been a while since I saw those scenes, but thanks for bringing them back up! Love those old tv wrestling scenes. Thanks NYFit!
Old TV wrestling. Reminded me that there are some Clint Walker compilation clips. The 6'6" Mike (Tarzan) Henry type in the wild west. Search for Clint Walker Cheyenne Seasons 1 and 2 for vids. Not bare-chested sadly.
Good one. Curious as to how and why the clip was edited from one standing at the door to the outside view of the window of the room they are fighting in. Maybe one or both got boners, which isn't necessary directly sexual. There's a similar scene of two equal brothers in speedos wrestling/fighting when Brad Pitt voices Boomhauer's brother (who speaks like Boomhauer and is hilarious) on King of the Hill. A quick search did not yield that clip from the show.
good fight - vicious but not as they are irl! usually then if fighting naked the men get well hard and present bigger targets for each other! 2 men fighting over a woman can be some of the most brutal fights ever - and fighting over a man/lad too of course! - I been in a good few some naked battles in house/flat others clothed outdoors bare knuckle/mud n muck brawls in leather real doozies! how bout you guys? I know many won't have fought over a woman (tho even if not to your sexual taste getting in a fight over a woman can give you as hard a fight as you can want - a tough guy being yelled on to fight like hell by his woman can be a hell of a fighter!!) but guess some will have over guys/lads??
One of the very first fights I saw on TV (i must have been about four) was about rival gangs of boys fighting it out. It may have been a Mickey Mouse Club serial. At one point, two identical blond heads of hair were locked nose to nose and rolling in front of the camera. One of my brother said, "Look, those guys are twins." I was sold immediately. I like parity and rolling emphasizes parity and mutual desperation in a fight.
I never saw this clip. Do you have access to the same clip or a similar one? I'd love to see a montage of guys rolling in fights. I need to pay more attention to these threads. Me and a regular fight buddy, after we'd wrestled competitively and got our desire to dismember each other out of our system and were starting to get tired, would mirror each other by wrapping arms mutually and tightly around each other lock totally front to front, rolling as fast as possible and tough luck on whoever got slammed into the wall. Try it, although you might want to pad that wall like we didn't. Therapeutic AF.
In the western bar fight scene in "The Great Race", there is a pair of guys locked together that look like two lookalike Marlboro Men battling near the stairs. You have to scrutinize the scene to find it. I'll often slow-mo big fight scenes (like the competing Marine platoons fighting in the water and mud in "Heartbreak Ridge") for what the pairs are doing. Since they have to look like they're fighting but are often just locked together, it looks homoerotic as hell. I'm curious as to how guys pair up for big fight scenes and I think most stunt men are not gay. If you talk to a few or see them interviewed, you'll see what I mean. For some of those guys it seems like it was either stunts or crime.
I've got vague memories of a cowboy movie I saw on TV, probably in the 1960s/70s.
The US cavalry was lined up ready to fight the "Red Indians", when the leaders of the two forces decided to spare mass bloodshed by fighting it out 1-on-1.
The "Red Indians" were always barechested, so the Cavalry leader stripped to the waist for the fight.
It was a humdinger. They fought tooth and nail on the ground and even into the river.
I don't remember the result, but it was one helluva turn-on for me.
Does anyone have any idea what this movie was? I've searched everywhere.
I wish I did, I think I remember the same movie except I remember as a wagon train and they came to a river. And either to cross or drink they had to fight Native-Americans who were bare chested. Again it was the leaders of each group to fight. The leader of the wagon train removed his shirt which always excites me. Since they were fighting for water they were to fight in the water. They both went into the river for the fight that I seem to remember included knives. But I don't remember the outcome as well. Seems the wagon train leader lost and was about to get the knife when the cavalry came along and shot the winner before he could claim his victory. That happened too often when the fight did not end as agreed because not "civilized." I have search for years and even watched some of the old western TV shows and movies but no luck. But I was a kid and was excited by the action.
Really wild guess: "Buffalo Bill" with Gordon "Tarzan" Scott, out of loincloth and into buckskin. 1964. Bare chests, knives drawn, and a sprawling all-terrain fight. Maybe some stills online will look familiar?
Good man! Would be interested if anyone knew of any good mud fight vids out there. There was one on YouTube called something like “butch Cassidy and the sun dance kid” but can’t seem to find it anymore.
CIRCLE OF IRON. The fight is over in a flash, but it stuck with me these many years. Pro bodybuilder and wrestler Earl Maynard is the muscle.
Gordon Mitchell in GIANTS OF METROPOLIS and ATLAS IN THE LAND OF THE CYCLOPS. Fights with various weapons and hand-to-hand. Mitchell matches muscles with Paul Wynter in ATLAS, around 1:10:00. Lengthy scene.
The best scenes are from the movie "Reversal". Here they had wrestlers do real wresting with each other and the director would take scenes from those practices and use them as needed for the film, thus the wrestling was 100% real. The scenes from "Legendary" though staged were fairly realistic as well.
Bruce Lee's opening Pioneering MMA scene in Enter The Dragon (one of My favorite movies ever), and John Claude Van Damme's final fight seen in The Quest. Honorable Mention to Peter Wong's fight in The Quest as well. Shitty storyline, but really good fight scenes for those interested and haven't seen.
Since this is really jumping right now, I wanted to add some more. As those of you have probably read, I love anime. This was a fight I really enjoyed in the original Baki:
I like the scene towards the end of the movie "Going to the Mat" where blind wrestler Jace had a match against T-Rex to win the state team championship.
Anthony Quayle fights Tarzan on cliff top.
Also love the final fight in Tarzan and The Great River. There’s a different cut you don’t see very often when Tarzan & Barcuna fall from a bridge both are stunned before struggling to feet again.
and this one should be Tarzan's Greatest Adventure................not sure about the sound on either as think they might be Russian, but the pics video is ok!
At 17 minutes and 30 seconds you will see a great example of an alligator roll. Some like what I do at my house with workouts and workshops in Fort Lauderdale Florida
the video was quite good. I was surprised too. You do not see that kind of wrestling anymore. I still wrestle in Fort Lauderdale. Mostly water wrestle. Dean [email protected] NOvember 2021
now that IS a fight!! i been in plenty like it not in a cell hehheh but in a garage in a cellar in a toilet and other enclosed spaces nowhere to run or hide - just fight!! hard bloody bare fists!! love it!!
real good fight - hard fists!! and better that is in water!! and with a crowd yelling you on you fight harder!! love fights in wet and mud in films - and real life!! for me i'd have loved to do this fight in wet slurry!!
what a fight indeed! bet they were rock hard! I was - watching it! Been in a good few like it but no knife though chairs etc kitchen stuff glasses etc and spilled out into back garden in rain ending up fighting in mud!
RIP to a hot guy I loved to see fight and get gutpunched in so many shows in my youth. Probably the first time I was turned-on by 2-on-1 scene was watching him get worked-over on Wild WIld West.
I only knew him as Milo Janus from columbo (and cue that jingle being stuck in my head)
One of our channels here shows Wild Wild West reruns occasionally, I'll give it a go.
Robert Conrad played also in a tv serie "A man called Sloane" and I remember a particular sequence in the episode " Lady bug" where he was wrestling (very hot).
Never been able to see again this sequence but yes, one of my most exciting sequence when I was a teen.
If somebody got it please share it !
Wow, I do remember the show, but not that sequence. Would love to see him wrestling and will look, but my initial Google research did not find the episode.
I remember several "Wild Wild West" episodes where he is beaten 2-on-1 or tied-up shirtless. They seemed to have an excuse for him to be shirtless every episode, which was great, of course. Probably my first awareness that I was turned-on by this.
Robert Conrad in The Wild Wild West. I'm willing to bet there's a lot of guys on this site who went through puberty with Robert Conrad during that series. I know I did.
It was Arthur O'Connell as that week's villain in one episode who delivered the line, "Please remove your shirt, Mr. West." Of course, he did and then whaled into one of the stuntmen.
It was seeing Conrad in those leather chaps he wore in the Wild Wild West that got me turned on to the leather world – and when he fought in them... WOOF! Instant wood
Loving all these.. Anyone of a certain age will remember that before the internet these were all we had. I had a blank video cassette that i kept and evertime there was even the tiniest wrestling on a show i would record it. Saved By The Bell anytime they put Slater in a singlet, an episode of the Wonder Years when Fred Savage joined the wrestling team, a made for TV movie again with Fred Savage as a high school wrestler who hits his girlfriend. All the scene in Vision Quest with Mathew Modine.. That video was my lifeline growing up.
I remember a B-movie. It was about the 60s or 70s. Set in an Arab country. The fight was between a prince dressed in a red mesh and no shirt and another dressed in black, represented a warrior of the desert. The scene lasts approximately ten minutes, it is erotic and sensual. Men fight for desert dunes. I don't remember the title of the movie, although I would like to see it again. If anyone knows the title, he would do me a favor.
KINDAR THE INVULNERABLE? AKA PRINCE OF THE DESERT. Mark Forest is the lead. Lots of wrestling and whipping in the sand? It is packaged in some "epic" Herc-type DVD sets. Or I maybe a cheap rental on Amazon prime.
Enjoyed the fight scenes in AWOL, admittedly JCvD isn’t the best actor in the world but the fights were decently done. Anyone else remember the Dukes of Hazard when the cousins fell out and scrapped?
The movie BLOODMATCH that starred Thom Matthews had a lot of barekknuckle fighting blended with some kickboxing. No gloves. Brutal fights for the time. Fights are lengthly in a boxing ring too which makes for realistic action.
Matthews plays a fighter who kidnaps 4 other fighters (3 men and a woman) and takes them to an arena to have a one-on-one fight to the death, trying to find out who is responsible for his brother's death.
Link to movie. Go to 43:10 for the fights. Not the best movie in the world but worth checking out the fights.
A few TV screenings in the late 60s gave me some amazing movie fights that seared itself into my psyche:
Giant 1956 Near the end Rock Hudson indulges in a prolonged fight in a diner that I can watch repeatedly these days on "repeat"
The Carpetbaggers 1964 George Peppard and Alan Ladd enjoy breaking most of the furniture as they enjoy smacking the crap out of each other
The Outrage Paul Newman and Lawrence Harvey fight in a river in cowboy clothes for what seems for ever.. HOT!
The Chase 1966 Marlon Brando fights on the court steps near the end in an amazing display of bloody street clothes fighting.
This is the link to The Carpetbaggers's fight, good but sadly far too short
The fights in The Outrage (there are two, one in the middle of the movie and one at the end) are nice but a bit too comical.
The scene in The Chase isn't a fight but just a beating , same for The Giant where the fight is too one-sided...
i loved all the martial arts b movies, like Lorenzo Lamas or Van Damme, but always I enjoyed more the fights before the final ones, where u saw not famous actors fighting agains each others or usually getting beaten up by the good or the bad guy.
a lot of underground fights with some sweaty hunks getting knocked out!
but this is definitely my fav fight
the wrestler is incredibly hot and the singlet pushes a huge package and beautiful ass... very sweet seeing him getting kicked and punched until the final collapse!
what do u think guys?
In the 80s there was a movie called bad guys, it was a comedy about two good looking policemen who ended up pro wrestling, they wore the stars and stripes trunks. I was quite young then and it opened my eyes to the attraction of the sport.
Think I read that one of the Gracies was the fight choreographer for the movie and was probably one of the first times grappling/BJJ went mainstream in the US.
fabulous fight!! brutal hard and in rain and mud!! so horned up!! kinda fight i loved to get in bare fists hardcore anything goes and brawling in wet and mud!!
I liked the fight scene in They Live a cheesy film but the fight between Roddy Piper and Keith David fully clothed and way over the top was great when I was a teen, I haven't seen it for a good 20+ years so might be laughable now.
yes agreed was a great all woman fight! been some fantastic all girl fights in films and tv series and some brutal mixed ones too! maybe we need a new discussion topic for female and mixed fights some brutal ones in banshee 2 of the hardest bloodiest mixed fights ever one was to the death!
Whenever Gordon Scott is challenged in his Tarzan movies, especially THE TRAPPERS (even with some silly, awkward moments) and THE MAGNIFICENT. WOMEN IN LOVE, PARADISE ALLEY, and, yes, HERC, SAM, and UL too. Would have liked to have seen Stallone's wrestling brother put on the loincloth in the Bo Derek Tarzan re-do.
A few come to mind...
Wild Wild West was always good for some great fight scenes. Best part was that Robert Conrad did his own stunts. There is one fight where he splits his pants and we're treated to his tightie whities.
Another hot scene was in Tarzan and the Great River where Mike Henry takes on Rafer Johnson.
The scene that I'll never forget is from Women in Love (1969)....I was going to college at the time and couldn't believe what I was seeing on the big screen....Alan Bates & Oliver Reed ....
Yes, extremely hot scene and neither one of the guys really touch each other except for a fist or a drag on a rug next to the fire place. You can still get it if you go to You Tube and type in Women in Love Naked FIght Scene they will show it.
Jean Claude Van Damme vs Michael Jai White in Universal Soldier: The Return even though both r clothed watching Van damme get dominated by sexy Mr white gets me rock hard
Yeah, that was good too! Do you recall Louden talking to the girl about getting a motel and wrestling Shute in that? That in itself, gave me a hard on!
am a big fight fan of oldmuscle gladiator movies. one of favs is Hercules,Sampson, and Ulysses. Got a desert fight between Sampson and Hercules where Sampson standing on hill throws spears at Hercules who is dressed as guard. He strips off gear and challenges Sampson to fight him man to man. Also like old Wild West Robert Conrad shows. There is one I wish could remember title where Conrad is shirtless in a pit and dude comes in from side door andthey fight watched by people above them also agree about finalfight in Hard Times..great!!...Bronson vs Conrad NHB in a pit stripped to loincloths wrestling would be hot!!
I agree with bifighter, the scene in Hard Times is truly hot and quite realistic too!
You also write "...there is something about wearing jeans and fighting man to man like that that is magic..." I couldn't agree more! Fighting barechested and wearing jeans is truly a masculine turn-on.
Hard Times with Charles Bronson has a pretty hot man to man bare knuckle fight to the finish…great atmosphere where the fight took place in an old garage and they also had a small audience…
I first saw the movie several years ago and over the years have introduced several others to the movie and then tried to duplicate it in real life fights wearing jeans, shirtless, and bare fisted…
Using that movie as guide and inspiration has gotten me some pretty good bare fisted boxing fights…but unlike the movie in real life bare fisted boxing always takes a lot longer…but there is something about wearing jeans and fighting man to man like that that is magic…
Anyway you can goggle Hard times and it usually goes right to that five minute clip…show it to other fighter friends and you will get something like going in no time at all, just make sure you have lots of room and lots of ice and raw meat handy, you’re gonna need it…
There's a great fight scene in a movie called "charlie Valentine". There's a good beating scene in the movie Beautiful Girls. Green Street Hooligans 1 and especially 2.
I agree with rassler on Tarzan the Magnificent........but on Kinder the Invulnerable..would have liked to see more muscle wrestling than whips and knife action. These two dudes are hot and muscled...........
Agree, Tarzan the Magnificent got a very hot (and long!) fight at the end, and Kindar the Invulnerable is difficult to find but it's worth the search for the furious wrestling match in the desert between the two muscular studs!
@dabbler73 The wrestling scene in Women in Love is one of the best ever and I liked the "royal rumble" in the mud in Heartbreak Ridge too, fun and hot!
Tarzan and the Great River: Tarzan's climactic fight against the evil Barcuna.
Tarzan the Magnificent
Also:
Women in Love, Ulysses, Hercules, Samson, and Ulysses, Penitentiary, Bad Boys (Prison fight), The Deep, From Russia with Love, Rue Barbane, Kindar the Invulnerable
Hey guys.. so glad I found this post.. I got me some research to do!!! I loved Clint Eastwwod films Any Which Way You Can and Every Which Way But Loose...Bareknux fight scenes with the sexy as hell Mr Eastwood....a huge lifelong crush! Also in his movie Heartbreak Ridge with all the guys having a kinda wrestle in the muddy water. I watched Fight Club at the cinema several times in a state of heightened arousal!! Esp when Durden tells narrator to hit him outside the bar. Women in Love was amazing!! How secretive, sexy and manly...the way he locks the door... the whole matter-of-factness that they should do it naked...the circling...the open fire...the struggling and sweating and panting..then collapsing exhausted and tentativley touching each others hands...so good!!!
Damn iainscott I thought I was the only person who found the last wrestling bout in Paradise Alley a big turn on the leaking roof the ring getting water logged found it real erotic in my younger days slow motion of the holds & moves
Wrestling Cowboy's post of Steve Reeves fight and one of Robert Conrad from Wild West are two hot fights Also was one with Conrad in Wild West where here was in a pit shirtless and another shirtless dude comes in to fight him. Also,on You tube, check out fight scene from Hercules,Sampson, and Ulysses...Kirk Morris playing Hercules strips off guard gear to wrestle/fight another muscled dude playing Sampson in a desert scene.
Great fight scenes posted here. Some favorites of mine are:
1. The barechested in jeans wrestling match between Bryan Brown and his mate in "The Thornbirds". Couple good bearhugs and a good sweaty long chest to chest pin with both men heaving for air.
2. The final cage match from the movie "Mad Bull" with Alex Karas. Love the two wrasslers sitting on top of the high cage trading blows and then one bearhugging the other out cold.
3. Steve Reeves in Trojan Horse....great barechested muscle fight.
4. Robert Conrad in Wild Wild West (Night of the Three-legged Buffalo). He pretends to be knocked out on side of a mud bath, wearing only a towel. An equally handsome and built man comes in wearing only a towel and as he starts to drag Robert Conrad, Robert trips him and they end up fighting in the mud bath.
The overhead presses are great in Stone Cold. Doe anybody know more scenes about films were a muscleguy presses another? Its my favorite move. Gorilla Presses are so hot.
I was at the Tate Modern a few years ago and they showed a film in one of the exhibitions of two naked men barenuckled fighting. The film was shown on a big cinema screen in a darkened room which made it all the more hotter with men standing round the edges of the room watching with pervy grins on theirs faces.
Preferably where some hunky guy gets stripped bollock naked. Are there any - perhaps apart from in select pornos? There used to be a great vid on Youtube "Gay wrestle, forced strip" but it was pulled for some 'violation' or other.
check out the fight scene in film called"Stone Cold" where Brian Bosworth fights a muscled biker stud. Find it on You Tube. Also on Tube..clips from Texas Ranger TV show...titled "Fight or Die"..hot fights in prison setting.
look out for a dvd release in Dec old movie from the 80's called Empire State there is an awsome bareknuckle scrap in that karate bloke vs big stocky old bruiser hot as fuck worth the £10 alone and it's a decent film
The "Penitentiary" movies and the scene from "From Russia With Love" are both good ones, not sure if I'm showing my age but "Wild Wild West" and "Mannix" TV shows had great wrestling and fight scenes
the fight scene in the train compartment in From Russia with Love - connory versus shaw. two muscular meaty men fighting for their lives in a space where they could not get away from each other by one inch
I agree with Dirtyfighter, "Women in Love" has one of the best male (nude!!) wrestling scene of all! The Mel Gibson film you're referring to is the first "Lethal Weapon" I guess...
"Paradise Alley" has some hot pro-style matches between beefy sweaty guys, and I too was excited by the Domino Danging video when I was younger: the two young latinos fighting for a girl on the beach were quite hot!
Anyone here have seen the fight between Hercules (the big and stunning Reg Park) and Antaeus in "Hercules the Avenger"? One of the longest, best wrestling scene in peplum movies, but many of those films had good male fighting scenes.
There was a series of films called Penitentiary in the early 1980s. It was mainly about boxing in prison but one of the scenes involved two dark skinned guys fighting in the dark in a prison cell. It was amazingly hot. There are clips from these films on Youtube.
Yeah the film was called Class, Rob Lowe fights Andrew McCarthy.
The Women in Love wrestling scene is so hot - Olly Reid naked wow!! Most erotic 2mins of film I ever saw! Anyone think the fight scenes in Van Damme film AWOL are hot?
Yes, Fightclub was good. How about the Mel Gibson film where he is fighting a guy and they end up rolling around in mud? I can't remember what it is called.
The climactic wrestling scene in Sylvester Stallone's only wrestling film "PARADISE ALLEY" - to say nothing of the ring wrestling scenes throughout the film pop my load every time.
The Barbarian Twins (David & Peter) were also pretty hot with plenty of barely covered muscled arsecheeks on show in the fight scenes they did for the film "BARBARIANS".
Wow! I'm going to watch both of these films now ... or at least one as I'd find impossible to watch without repeatedlly shooting myself off!!!

6/08/2023 3:33 AMi hope i'm not duplicating this---i like "Warrior" with joel edgerton and tom hardy. great scenes, i think a very overlooked

6/08/2023 1:50 PM(In reply to this)
Yes, "Warrior" is a good movie about fighting.

Not seen, "the wrestler" don't know why. Maybe Mickey Rourke ugh...

And if I'm going to pick a fight movie why not the best, "Raging bull".

2/23/2023 12:44 AMNot the longest wrestling scene but an absolute wrestling fantasy put in the context of ancient Rome from the 1972 film "Fellini Satyricon".

6/04/2022 4:02 AMI'm putting this out there to see if it rings a bell with anyone.

Sad.

5/14/2022 4:34 PM(In reply to this)
I can appreciate brutal fight scenes because I understand how difficult they are to do authentically in movies but they are not at all a turn on to me.

GINGERMAN (8)
5/06/2022 5:24 PMFight scenes, especially nude fight scenes portrayed in an earlier period of movie making, were not all that common, at least which were filmed and included into movies produced by major studios like MGM, Warner Bros., etc.

Do you think Karras ever became less of a jerk, or did he just play a decent guy in the movies?
NYFitGuy155 (4)
5/14/2022 9:58 AM(In reply to this)
That is a good question, which made me google "was Alex Karras a nice guy" and this is what I found, remembering what I said about Dave Kopay's book:

Stay safe.

I met Corman around 2000 because he was a buddy of my boss and talked to him a few times after for work. Super cool guy, especially someone with his unique and impactful career. Low-key and unassuming. Very much a listener and observer.

11/25/2021 3:08 PMI've got vague memories of a cowboy movie I saw on TV, probably in the 1960s/70s.

11/13/2021 2:14 AMThe best scenes are from the movie "Reversal". Here they had wrestlers do real wresting with each other and the director would take scenes from those practices and use them as needed for the film, thus the wrestling was 100% real. The scenes from "Legendary" though staged were fairly realistic as well.

Robert Conrad played also in a tv serie "A man called Sloane" and I remember a particular sequence in the episode " Lady bug" where he was wrestling (very hot).

Damn, he was hot.

10/23/2019 1:13 AMLoving all these..

8/29/2019 10:40 PMI remember a B-movie. 10/27/2018 9:12 PMThe movie BLOODMATCH that starred Thom Matthews had a lot of barekknuckle fighting blended with some kickboxing.

9/07/2017 11:06 AMA few TV screenings in the late 60s gave me some amazing movie fights that seared itself into my psyche:

Regarding the George Peppard/Alan Ladd fight in The Carpetbaggers:
According to Carroll Baker, Peppard was a real bully on the set. Ladd wasn't in the best of health, but Peppard wouldn't let up on him.

7/06/2016 2:28 PMA few come to mind...

Yes, extremely hot scene and neither one of the guys really touch each other except for a fist or a drag on a rug next to the fire place. You can still get it if you go to You Tube and type in Women in Love Naked FIght Scene they will show it.

I despair of a lot of fight scenes nowadays. It's all very balletic martial arts, which is interesting to watch but leaves me cold.
You can't beat the films from the good old days.

1/24/2012 3:54 PMam a big fight fan of oldmuscle gladiator movies. one of favs is Hercules,Sampson, and Ulysses.

12/27/2011 2:54 PMI agree with bifighter, the scene in Hard Times is truly hot and quite realistic too!
You also write "...there is something about wearing jeans and fighting man to man like that that is magic..." I couldn't agree more! Fighting barechested and wearing jeans is truly a masculine turn-on.
bifighter (0)
12/18/2011 8:12 PMHard Times with Charles Bronson has a pretty hot man to man bare knuckle fight to the finish…great atmosphere where the fight took place in an old garage and they also had a small audience…

3/03/2011 5:29 PMI agree with rassler on Tarzan the Magnificent........but on Kinder the Invulnerable..would have liked to see more muscle wrestling than whips and knife action. These two dudes are hot and muscled...........
rassler (4)
2/17/2011 1:49 PMAgree, Tarzan the Magnificent got a very hot (and long!) fight at the end, and Kindar the Invulnerable is difficult to find but it's worth the search for the furious wrestling match in the desert between the two muscular studs!
@dabbler73 The wrestling scene in Women in Love is one of the best ever and I liked the "royal rumble" in the mud in Heartbreak Ridge too, fun and hot!

1/31/2011 4:51 PMHey guys.. so glad I found this post..

12/22/2010 4:02 PMWrestling Cowboy's post of Steve Reeves fight and one of Robert Conrad from Wild West are two hot fights Also was one with Conrad in Wild West where here was in a pit shirtless and another shirtless dude comes in to fight him. 12/08/2010 1:14 PMGreat fight scenes posted here.

11/08/2010 4:00 PMI was at the Tate Modern a few years ago and they showed a film in one of the exhibitions of two naked men barenuckled fighting. The film was shown on a big cinema screen in a darkened room which made it all the more hotter with men standing round the edges of the room watching with pervy grins on theirs faces.

5/03/2010 1:54 PMI agree with Dirtyfighter, "Women in Love" has one of the best male (nude!!) wrestling scene of all!

11/30/2009 6:59 AMThere was a series of films called Penitentiary in the early 1980s. It was mainly about boxing in prison but one of the scenes involved two dark skinned guys fighting in the dark in a prison cell. It was amazingly hot. There are clips from these films on Youtube.

11/22/2009 1:53 AMI know its not quite a film, but the video for Domino Dancing by the Pet Shop boys used to be a huge turn on for me when I was a kid.
Also the scene in the lake in Derek Jarman's Sebastiane is quite good too. Although I know that neither of these are particularly brutal fights.
There is a film with Rob Lowe where he fights a guy in some mud that was also another childhood fave. (Think it was called CLASS?)
