Freestyle Wrestling

Freestyle wrestling is not all that "technical"

Freestyle wrestling is very technical. You are talking about the very final moment of a match or about the fetish side of wrestling. To get to the pin you need a lot of technical knowledge. A lot.

Easy to make pins hurt in freestyle. For example, when using the half to pin, make a fist with the hand that isn't being used in the half nelson. Place that fist on the mat so that it will be underneath your man's back when you turn hiim. Make sure your knuckles are "up". When he gets turned, and you put your weight on his back, this will be brutally painful. He will pin himself just to get out of it. Ref doesn't see anything. I love to do this when I pin my man.

I wholeheartedly agree with Subfight. Olympic Freestyle wrestling is highly technical and requires years of training to attain proficiency. Freestyle rassling is more the fetish style practiced by lots of guys on this site. It is all in the definition of "freestyle." Are we talking about classical competitive wrestling or just two guys trying to dominate each other for fun. In the case of classical freestyle, there is much less chance for injury than in submission wrestling because joints are not bent backwards and there are strict rules to protect the combatants from wanton aggression. In any event, once you have pinned your opponent, he has been dominated–there is no need for a tap out.

A lot of guys I wrestle say they don't do freestyle cause it is too technical. Not true. Basic rule is to pin your opponent or at least expose his back to the mat. Most of the wrestling on this site is mat wrestling, since the mats are not usually big enough to go standing. So one wrestler rides the other till he he gets the pin and they can switch. Pretty simple, and a lot less likely to result in injuries than submission matches where the object is to hyper extend some joint. You can make pins hurt enough to get your man to tap without any danger of injury.

I totally agree with that reasoning....I always use some kind of pinning hold and just crank up the pressure to get a tapout.

Just sanitize each other’s bodies first then all will be kosher

How about if both wrestlers wrap themselves in plastic wrap?

Could work ! A good wrestle and a good sweat all at the same time . Winner determined by weight of sweat contained in the wrap

What is great about using pins is that there is little danger of injury as there is in some of the sub moves. Just plain old fashion male on male domination.

Absolutely, especially cranking on the pain.
